The new V2 masts have a different racing profile foil section so it is faster and smoother. V2 masts pump better, have more lift, and it turns better.
The chord looks the same but is really 3mm wider and the thickness is the same at 14mm so it is a little bit stiffer than the v 1.5 mast. The fuselage on the new Version 2 mast (V2) is shifted forward 50 mm. So you need to put the mast back in the tracks at least 25-30 mm and then decide whether you go back from there ( for less lift) or forward from there (for more lift). There are 4 extra holes in the mast plates now with possible movement forward or backward 35mm extra. So you do not need a new board, these masts fit our current positions on the boards.
